    Occasionally I will come across a condiment---such as mustard---that has expired---perhaps as much as a year ago.  

    I use mustard very infrequently.  Fortunately it is cheap, since it is not sold in a small enough container that would sufficiently meet my needs.

    And that, my friend, is why my jar of mustard has been in the fridge for at least five years.  What you and I really should do, since we use so little of it, is take some of those little packets when we're at a rest stop or a take-out restaurant and hold on to those rather than buying a jar.     I don't know for certain. But I think it is some Catalina dressing. 

    But I know for sure, it is NOT sour cream.
