What are some ways in which a person might use her own or his own driver’s license in situations not related to driving in any way? ~

I think I was on my "I'm going to say 'I don't know' to everything to prove I'm not a know-it-all" kick. 

And, as long as I can remember, I've encountered people who refer to their driver's license as 'them', as if they're saying "licenses". It's just a personal grammar pet peeve of mine, I guess. Make a note of it in my file. 

 

  I’ve never heard of that particular way of people referring to their licenses. 

  How are you on “PIN number” at the “ATM machine”, and “VIN number“ on a car.  These drive me absolutely up the wall. Don’t even get me started on “supposebly”.   Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhh!

It's bothered me since I was 15 or 16.
"My license are about to expire. I've got to get them renewed." Them?? How many driver's licenses do you have? Or, are you going to get your gun and fishing licenses renewed, too? 

I'm guilty on PIN and VIN. I shall adjust that immediately. What a freaking IDIOT I've been! UGH and DOH!
