Have you been here?

Evans City, Pennsylvania, USA

-- where most of director George Romero's original 1968 "Night of the Living Dead" was filmed.

I've visited several times. Everyone with whom I interacted was very friendly.

Whether you've been there or not, go watch my favorite movie "Night of the Living Dead" NOW.

Though it's always a great time to watch this movie, it's fun to watch during Halloween Week

;)

It's a small little town. Pretty-to-me landscape in that part of Pennsylvania.

What kinds of sandwiches do they offer there?  (None with mayo, I hope.)

I’m not sure I want to eat something that’s been fingered. Wait, that didn’t come out the way I meant it to . . .

If there had been mayo, I avoided it.

I have not. I've also never seen that movie and so sorry, my friend, but I never will. I don't do gore or zombies.

    I understand.

I will still recommend this movie. This movie is most likely not what you may be thinking when it comes to this genre of movies. It is not like the current over-the-top gory movies. The story actually focuses on the "living people" in the story -- and hardly any gore at all. (Literally only one scene, not over-the-top and it last about 11 seconds.)

A very understated but very scary movie to me -- with seven very "real" characters. Great movie to me. It's scary to me because the people seem to be very real - - with character strengths and character weaknesses.

(Yeah, I know- - you still won't watch and I don't blame you, ha!)

Hey, that's all I can ask! Thanks!

(I could go on and on about the movie, ha.)

Some people find it "amateurish" as far as the low-budget and some of the performances - - I highly disagree - - the cast comes across, again, as real people, with believable natural performances. This is not a film with big-name actors/actresses "acting." To me is how real people would behave in such a situation.

    Omg -- here I go again . . . blahblahblah . . .  :)

It's like 270 miles from where I live. As close as it is, I've never been there.

    That's cool you're relatively close.
A small little town -- only about 1800 people or so, I believe. Of course, I went mainly to see the cemetery and where the farmhouse was located. The farmhouse had been planned to be demolished, and was demolished very soon after filming was completed in '68; that's why they got the house so cheap to film, ha!

I can't remember if you've said you've seen the movie or not.
    :)

I trust your memory more than I trust mine. You probably told me and it went out the other ear or something. This post was edited by Zack at October 30, 2020 8:20 PM MDT
