I voted this morning. There was about twice as many people there as normal.
Turnout this is looking to be historic between day of and early voting.
I voted by mail long ago, but I did give an elderly neighbor a ride to the polls yesterday morning. He does not drive, and he wanted to vote in person, but due to COVID, his regular polling place was closed down and had been changed to another location. He wasn’t familiar with the area to where it it had been relocated, and his plan was to find it by trial and error. He was going to walk there, but it would have been 30 to 45 minutes in the hot sun. I wasn’t having any of that. I offered to take him, and when he got in the car, his main concern was having to wait in a long line once he got there. The drive was about 5 minutes, and to his great pleasure, there was no line at all. He was grateful that he had not had to walk all the way over there, he got to vote, and everything worked out well.
