Suri - a desexed female tabby cat - has only the faintest cat smell most of the time, but just after meals her breath smells of fish or steak.
The horses have their unique horse smell - the best I can describe it is slightly like nutmeg, with urine that smells like new-mown hay, and poo that smells like fermented grass.
My little dog never seems to have a discernable odor, despite infrequent bathing. I presume it's due to genetics and overall good health (knock wood).
My bigger dog is a bit more stinky, particularly on rainy days. I clean her ears and use wipes and cologne between her regular grooming appointments if I think she smells like corn chips and/or beer. I believe it's due to yeast overgrowth, by the way.
I don't know about evil, but I do know what you mean about cats. I like to think of them as mischievous, rather than evil. I think evil is reserved for humans. Some cats do make me question that, though. ;)
