Sane and answerable question #2: Isn't it great how being "weird" is cool now?

We're all weird in one way or another, people. Deliberately trying to be the same kind of weird as someone else isn't cool or original.

    Trying to inflict your kind of weird onto others isn't great or cool either, Randall. 

    People come to embrace different stages of weirdness in their own time. 

    I'm not sure about the sanity or answerability of this question now.

    No never was and never will be. You may think being weird is "cool" but the more you cut yourself off from people the less frame of reference for "weird" or "cool" you have  at all.  The fallacy is in thinking that by separating yourself from society you are somehow staking out your own territory.  Wrong. It is only in creative interaction with society that we can positively be ourselves.

    I don't think that separating yourself from society in some way should be the idea behind embracing your individualism. From many of your tales, it sounds like you've lived a pretty non-conformist lifestyle. I'm all for being your true self, while being conscious of the impact that has on others. I don't think following trends that lean to the "weirder" side simply because they're viewed that way is necessarily indicative that you're embracing your true self/uniqueness.

    Yes agree completely.  Not sure what have been my "tales", but please be assured that any "non-comformist" leanings I have made came about only because I found I was unable to successfully conform to what others may have expected of me.

    Yes, I thought we were essentially in agreement. I don't think I worded this question well at all. I'd had some cannabis. :)

    I believe that's the most common reason we don't conform. ;)
