Nope. I don't eat sweets. Here is what I had for dinner yesterday.

Then you need to get a grip Randy. You owe it to yourself, and to the guy who was denied a hospital bed because you were busy recovering from life-saving, multiple by-pass surgery.

Nope, we’re going into complete lockdown again for a month and can’t leave the house for any other reason than to pick up essentials. No socializing=no bad Holliday food choices. Yay -_-

Randy! I'm surprised. I had no idea you had a sweet tooth. I'd always imagined you as sticking strictly to a healthy diet.

Yes, I believe our holiday season began last week-end.
    We're flooded with invitations.
The summer rains cause the subtropical grasses to grow at an obscene rate - and yet we also feel we cannot refuse the invites without risking offence.
As an introvert, I quickly feel drained by too many gatherings.
Yet it looks as though the grass and weeds will have to wait.
And the work will be even harder when I return to it. :/

I do have a sweet tooth, I control it quite closely and I do not binge.

    :)

      Oh, wait, you like nuts?
(Come on, you left yourself wide open for that one. You knew I wouldn’t pass up such an opportunity.)

This sure struck a chord!  I try to watch very carefully my sugar intake and have denied myself chocolate and other sweets unless sugar-free.  However, with all the holiday advertisements for chocolates, etc., my sweet tooth has been resurrected and my discipline sorely tested.  When I got a box of See's chocolates from my work, it was wrapped in Christmas paper and I should given it to one of our handymen.  Once I opened the box, it was impossible to maintain discipline and I ate EVERY dark chocolate in the box.  Sweet tooth satisfied and no more cravings, but I'll pay for that soon enough.

Sugar is evil. (Dang, my wife just brought home some chocolate covered cherries. Just a few, I guess.)

Everything would have been fine if it weren't for my wonderful, thoughtful, kind neighbors ringing my doorbell, setting homemade treats down and then waving/yelling "Merry Christmas" through their masks from the end of the sidewalk as I try to keep the barking dogs from running out the door unleashed.

    Damn them.
