Up because every part of the political establishment is attacking him relentlessly. It is not just the left it is the right too. And he pushes on and it is not because he needs to win to keep the money flowing in or to provide political favors. It is not because he has so much to lose if the establishment begins to crack and turn on each other and all these backroom deals get exposed and fall apart. He is accused of being a bully but it does not look that way now and it looks like the politicians and the media are on him without mercy or justification so it is hard to see him as anything but the underdog who is doing something real. When a bush endorses a clinton I know it is all a game for them and trump is threatening to end that game. Politicians take office with a salary of 100,000 to 200,000 and they leave a few years later as multimillionaires. This is happening with left and right and it is because both sides watch each other backs. I believe trump is scaring them because he threatens that and he is talking about putting someone in prison for committing a crime and that unheard of in the establishment.

Up, and then by huuuuge measure. Why? Because his enemies are my enemies. The vehemence of their displeasure/disdain is a testament to the man's character. Anyone who can drive the denizens of depravity/debauchery/deceit (read: dem flavored statists) THIS crazy has got to have some redeeming qualities.

(Note, please, that this does not mean I plan to vote for Man of Orange. I do not.)

  • Up. At first I found him arrogant and boorish and then I realised that is exactly what is needed.

Given the sheer scope of the problems the U.S and the world is facing, anyone who sincerely wishes to fix things would need to be an egomaniac to think they could do it. A humble man would run from it at this point. The left need to be told where to go, and who better to do it? Even his faults are virtues.

The strategy of the left has always been to try make right wing opinions socially unacceptable. They make no rational argument just constantly shame us. They seek to make the Overton window as narrow as possible.

When someone calls you a racist, xenophobic, homophobic bigot the proper response is to just tell them to f*** off, not try to defensively explain why you aren't those things. It's not a sincere criticism. They don't really believe those things. Here's Bill Whittle breaking down the M.O. of the left.

It's time for the right to stand tall and call the far left for the cultural Marxist trash they are. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 18, 2016 6:20 AM MDT
