One used to be able to call a company on the phone and get a real person.  With technology, that's not one of the options (although I'll have to listen carefully as that may have changed).

Obviously, it had made it more difficult to exercise civil liberties such as freedom of expression and freedom of speech.

I much preferred rolling up my car windows with a handle and my arm muscles - - not by using one of 10,000 buttons in the car.
Sometimes, my car windows "freeze" with the water in/on them in cold weather and, electronically, the frozen windows will not open with that button. I bet with regular window handles and some elbow grease, I'd be able to open the windows.

EDIT: I posted my answer before I saw Element 99's answer.
    :)
