    No, elections tend to boil down complex multifaceted issues into sound bites and spectacle.

    It is far more important to understand why Aleppo is a significant place in the current geopolitical picture than to know that candidate Gary Johnson was embarrased that he didn't recognize Aleppo and have an immediate answer about his views on it.
