Have you ever found yourself thinking on:

'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God', whenever you crouch trembling in that 6' x 4' cold, damp cell, parsimoniously munching your last crust of stale bread while awaiting adjudication for some unwitting misdemenour against the council and their abominable 'rules'?

That would assume to be meaning that words mean anything over actions though. All words are arbitrary to beefed up beliefs. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at February 21, 2021 11:18 AM MST

If I understood what you said I would probably either agree or disagree. I understand most things of course, well, some things. At least, I could if I really concentrated, and racked my brain, and learnt a few big words like antediluvian, eighteenwheeler, Trincomalee, fartintoametalbucket, and stuff like that - or like anything else really. Sorry, what was your answer again?

That sounds like the synopsis of a lost Kafka story. Or a Jean-Paul Sartre novel.

Very astute Reverend. That's EXACTLY where I got it. Shame I had to kill poor old Franz to get it, but, hey, what can you do?
