Sixty and older here. Do you think anyone gives a crap about us as far as the COVID vaccination?

Well, those of us 75 and over are supposed to be at the head of the line in NYC, but it's almost impossible to get an appointment anywhere.  Now that they've opened up to 65+, it's even harder.

I think it's a government conspiracy to try and kill  off most elderly people because all we do is take up valuable space in old folk homes and cost too much money to support.

I think it should go location (nursing home residents) then by age. Then health. 

If no one else gives a crap about you, you have to give a crap about you. Do all that you can to get that shot, but I understand where you are coming from. There are people that got the rest of us by the balls and there's nothing we can do about it. Still, you should try regardless so you don't feel like you didn't do anything. Last week the local hospital called up out of the blue to schedule my mom's COVID shot (mom's in her 80's). She got her first dose the very next day. I wasn't even aware this county had received any of the vaccine.  

As long as somebody is getting the vaccine, it will cut down on how many people are getting it. Young people, who are often asymptomatic, are the ones who are spreading it the most. However, they do not put as much of a strain on the healthcare system as the older folks do. IMO, it's all good.

My mother has had both doses.  My other family members have appointments for next week at CVS.  I have friends up in the panhandle who have already taken the shots.  I do not personally know of people having trouble getting the shot who are not in large cities.
