If those are my only options, I guess I'll choose "else".

In my own defense, I was out food shopping when you responded.  They've got another weather advisory up for us and I wanted to make sure my larder was stocked.

Yes I heard you got a lot of snowstorm coming to New York. Here we are entering a cold front for a few days with some snowfall.

I know the temps are going to drop considerably, but right now they're predicting up to 2".

You poor thing. Here it is -10F with a 70% chance of snow. It's not predicted to get above 0 for the next 5 days. Perfectly normal for this time of year.

But that's normal for your area.  We haven't had this much snow in a very long time.  Our average temperature should be around 40. This post was edited by SpunkySenior at February 11, 2021 6:14 AM MST

Hmmm... you do have a point.  I guess it could be read, "ask a question or else" what(?).  However, if that were the case, wouldn't the "would you say?" part would be followed by choices (ie. 'a, b, c ...' or '1, 2, 3...')?

    (forgive my stupid humor)

I'd like to know what "else" means.  I may choose that option instead.

'Or else' means maybe you will have to answer questions about the meaning of life or something. This post was edited by Kittigate at February 10, 2021 3:33 PM MST
