    I have happened upon addresses that would not work without the www.  I never asked anyone about it.  I just read an article that you might like.  I can see how my experience regarding www happens.  It turns out using www is groovy.

    I just say "world wide web" or "wa wa wa" - three syllables, as opposed to "double you double you double you" which takes three times as long to say.
