What has happened to the “Questions” button? Now I’m exposed to all that *%#+@ that lurks in the fringes of this website’s brain. Grrrrrrr.

The “Home” button is gone, yet its functions remain; showing the most recently posted questions, answers, replies, comments, etc. Previous to this new change, if I didn’t want to see that, I could select the “Questions” button, under it, only the center of the room was displayed. Now, the far edges of the room are blatantly laid bare. We were assured that there would be an automatic way to avoid that which we didn’t want to see, and now that’s been taken away.

Apparently, there have been a number of changes since I was last on here around 11 PM last night.  I understand that advertisements bring in revenue so we can continue to use the site without charge, but if the ads continue to be in the nature of how to clean my butt without using toilet paper, you can rest assured my time here is limited.

Lol, don’t worry about something like this chasing me away, Pal. AnswerMug will be rolling up the sidewalks and turning off all the lights before I ever leave.

I'm not planning to leave, but if a site gets to be more of a pain than it's worth, I look for something less stressful. :)

Lessening stress is a healthy thing, yes. :)
    I'd miss you, though.

Weird. I don't see any ads. I don't have any ad-blocking software that I'm aware of.

I also still have the questions button. I thought everything was hunky-dory except chat. (Which JA tells me they're working on, if anyone cares. I know almost no one used chat other than me).

You’re lucky; I find these changes horrendous (you should see how bad some of these ads are). Maybe I should drag out my 10-year-old laptop again and see if it still shows this website in its previous form. Modern progress, right? Ugggggh.

Well, I'm on a laptop (although I don't think it's ten years old) and I'm having some of the problems you mention and not others.

The ads are gone, but I did sign on for ad blocker.  What I do miss is the page up arrow.  That was a great feature.

    I'm at a desktop computer.

The home page ("What's Happening" page or whatever) looked different-than-usual yesterday and today it looks different again - a black strip is at the top now, in it, the usual "Sign Out" / "Settings" / "Help" / my profile name and the "Messages" / "Friend Requests" and "Notifications"

And this black strip partially "overlaps"/ "invades" the top of the line of "Home" / "Questions" / "Polls" / "Blogs" / "Uploads" options.  So, I can access the "Questions" button.

Yesterday, the word "Answermug" appeared nowhere on the home page for me - - but a strange half-image of something, over to the right of the screen, allowed me to click to get to the homepage.
