What is a situation or circumstance in which a man would not be allowed to grow a beard?

    Firefighter.s. The oxygen masks would not hold a seal. That is why beards were disallowed in the Navy.

    Most Australian military positions do not permit beards. In the RAAF, moustaches may not extend below the lips and beards are not permitted at all. Navy officers are the sole exception, and even then there are limits.

    Life in general.  Most men with a beard or mustache do not keep it properly trimmed or try and do it themselves.  What they end up with is a crooked mustache and a beard which looks awful.  The trend for facial hair doesn't mean just don't shave for a couple of weeks, that is an awful look.  Men look like they are homeless, it is disgusting. I don't like any kind of facial hair on a man but if they have it, lord, keep it properly trimmed.

      Wait, that means you wouldn’t be interested in me at all, because for about the past twenty years, I’ve always had a mustache.  Never a beard, a goatee, sideburns, etc., only a mustache.
