Discussion»Questions»Transportation» Compared with the first few years you began driving, what are some drastic changes you made in your driving habits? ~
Be more careful driving on gravel roads. A couple times I lost control skidding in loose gravel. No serious damage fortunately. Check condition of tires regularly, especially front tires because I did have a blowout a couple of times. Nothing bad happened but was a scarey experience.
Back home on the farm there were all gravel roads.
When I lived in Winnipeg there were a lot of problems with potholes and other damage to city streets during spring thaw. Not so much at all in Vancouver.
I rarely drive at night. I am more aware of my surroundings. I drive with few distractions. I don't even like talking while driving. I don't drag race or burnout my tires. (Yes...I had a muscle car.) What I have always done while driving is realize that every driver within 1/4 mile is out to get me.
