Why do the outlines of California and Nevada look so similar to those of British Columbia and Alberta?

 

Someone copied someone else here, and I believe an investigation is warranted. Grrrrrrrr.

    Looks like each was following the coastline.  Trying to stay somewhat parallel so they did not have a triangle coastal state/province.

  • Identical twins sometimes find mates that look like each other.  British Columbia found Alberta and California found Nevada. 

    Alberta would be upset if it came home and found British Columbia with Nevada.
