Allegedly West Virginia is paying $100 to each person who gets a COVID 19 shot. Is that enough to buy you too?

No, it's not enough to buy me.  They could offer to pay 200 times that much and it still wouldn't be enough. As a side note, the Covid vaccine is free so why would they offer to pay you to get it?  Money can't buy everything. For me, it's a matter of choice.

Are you SERIOUS? Of course it's free. THAT'S NOT THE POINT. Some folks will do anything for money including getting the shot. You didn't know that? How come? Thank you for your reply ru and Happy Tuesday to you and yours! :)

Again....I cannot vaccinate my kids.  They are adults.  They make their own medical decisions.

That I did not know. You never discosed their ages that I can recall. Thank you for that information m2c and Happy Wednesday to thee. I thought they were in grammar school. That's what ignorance does.

    Nope.
But I would never vaccinate a grammar school child with an experimental vaccine of any kind.  Especially for a disease that has a 99.997% survivial rate for those under 19yrs old.

Are we only allowed one shot per person?

There ya go! Well Jim and I are now fully protected. Got the J&J April 8 and so on April 22 we are. However I don't trust anyone I don't know and so we will CONTINUE to mask and glove and social distance. The experts don't really have a complete handle on this virus or why it keeps mutating. Rather be safe than sorry! You? :)

Not enough to buy me ... but to rent me for the 15 minutes to get a shot, which I was planned to get anyway?
    Sure thing, sucker.  LOL

Seriously, my employer gave all employees who got the shot 1 hour of pay, even though the shot was mandatory.

hahahahahaha! So you can be rented for a short time then Walt? $100/15 minutes is $400 per hour. Is that the going rate to rent?

Your employer is a PEACH! I think that is a VERY PATRIOTIC thing to do. But "mandatory"? You were ORDERED to get the shot OR ELSE? OR ELSE what? Being fired? Thank you for your reply Walt! :)

It was mandatory for all employees involved directly with patient care.

Though it was voluntary for other workers ... the consequences of not getting it were such that it might as well have been mandatory.
IE: If you didn't have the shot - and showed symptoms of Covid - you would be required to take 2 weeks off, as "quarantine".
If you did have the shot - you only had to take 1 day off and be tested for Covid.

Not many people can afford to take 2 weeks off.

Right. I remember now that you shared your line of work with me. Different subject my friend. Remember you told me you cannot be bought but you can be rented? I asked that question. I think if the circumstances were good I could rent myself out too. I'm pretty good at organizing things so I could make order out of chaos. I'm also pretty good at being a Mcgyver but at the lowest rung on that ladder. Nothing way exotic or fancy or unbelievable. I can adjust and make do with what I have when I need to. Maybe someone could use that. Now how much would I charge? I think your rental fee was $100 for 15 minutes which is $400 an hour. I'm not that good but I'm better than minimum wage. Maybe say $88 an hour? 8 is the number of success. or $77 an hour. 7 is my lucky number. :) Here comes another question!  Guess what it will be? :)
