If you go on fishing trip how many pounds fish would you have to catch to make it profitable for food over cost of your fishing expedition?

I don't buy fish very often but I think fish is usually more expensive than beef or pork and other animal sources.
All the fishing trips I made I never caught more than about 5 or 6 pounds of fish.

Well I live on an Island so I don't have to go very far to catch a fish so maybe a couple of pounds. One of my grounds keeping customers has a commercial fishing business and they give me a lot of free fish for bonuses. The last time I was there they gave me some halibut. Cheers and happy weekend!

Halibut! That's about the best kind of fish you can get.

Since I already own tackle and the river is ten minutes away, the cost of the trip is bait. The fish we catch are usually around two pounds each.
