It is the ONLY toaster I've ever owned.  It's a Farberware toaster given to me by a cousin as a house gift for my when I moved into my first apartment 51 years ago and it works as well now as it did when it was brand new.

I'm somewhat irritated by how the remarkable toaster in the sky that we all have -- with my fair skin and blonde hair - - it's remarkable how quickly it can sometimes burn me..

I am fortunate that I do not sunburn easily but I did manage to get a lot of sunburn during my younger days and now I will start getting purplish blotches on my skin after only about ten minutes exposure so I gotta keep covered up all the time because could be risk of skin cancer.
So now I get my vitamin D from a pill now all year 'round instead of the sun.

I had one toaster that lasted about 20 years.  I thought that was unremarkable but since it stopped working I've had four.  They seem to be manufactured to last three or four years.  I didn't buy the cheap one either.....kind of mid priced $35ish ones.  The one that lasted so long was a Sunbeam. I had a 4 burner once with openings large enough for an english muffin.
