Would it be racist or disenfrachise low income voters to simply remove dead people from voter lists?

If not then can both sides agree to do this?
This is one of those things that makes america seem like a backwards nation that cannot do such a simple task.

How about removing the Dead Republican candidate from the list.  Dead in the water that is.

  • We should hold a seance to make sure it's fair for dead people just in case. Really though I see your point. I think NOT removing dead people off voter lists is unfair for both sides.

My Grandpa is still on the rolls in IL. He died in 2009. They have been told multiple times.
I cannot find voting records for IL to see if someone is voting as him.

We have dead people still on our voter registration rolls for years after they have died. And for some reason it is objectionable to remove them.

We don't do that in my country, my2cents. Once people have passed on, they are removed from the voter registration rolls, and that's it.

I had no idea it was different in the USA (or anywhere else, for that matter).

Yep and that is why we need voter ID because if someone knows about a death they could go in and claim to be this dead voter. Or if they were a absentee voter (vote by mail) the ballot is just mailed to the last address anyone could fill out the ballot and mail it in.

Sort of like dead people receiving their social security checks.
