Do cats prefer their servants stay home with them all the time or prefer they go out once in a while so they can wreck the place?

My little cat screams and hollers for my return even if I use the bathroom.   If I dare to step outside, both cats go off.   My large cat takes great pride in wrecking the place and prefers an audience. 

"Meeew" (watch this)  "ME-YOOWW!!" (I said, WATCH THIS!)  Zip!  Bang! Smash! Zoom! Crash!  Glass breaking!  Splash! Clatter.   As the dust clears, there's the cat proudly beamng.  "Merf?" (you like?)  "Merowow" (Nuts!  There's a picture frame still standing upright on the desk).  "Meew"  

Mine don't eat when I am gone and they wait for me to get up in the morning to eat hard food which is always out.
