Australia and the mouse plague, is there anything they can do?

I guess the fires they recently had missed the mice somehow.

    Collect all the cats from the animal shelters, bring them over to Australia and let them loose. Hungry cats might help eliminate the wild rabbit problem too.

    They got rid of their guns.  But they can have a single shot 22 with permission.

    I wouldn't be surprised because I live in Canada and Canada has a lot of gun laws and regulations but there is lots of guns in Canada. Cheers!
