I live in the submarine capital of the world where the first nuclear submarine was built, the Nautilus which is now on permanent display along the Thames River.

Why in the Thames? That's rather odd. Why not in Groton?

That is such a cute answer! I kid you not! One Stoplight and EIGHT gas stations? I wonder if any town anywhere can beat that? Seriously! Thank you for your reply O and Happy Wednesday to thee and thine! :)

That is awesome E. What makes it safest? I live in Hemet as you know. A small retirement community. People are getting cars broken into and their homes broken into. Always of course when no one is home which would make it not so dangerous to live there but still! Thank you for your reply E! :)

We bought our home from a cop and he checked the computers and found us to have almost no crimes around here. Just a few car break-ins for those idiots who forgot to lock their car. (Me).

What a BRILLIANT thing to do! Buy a home a policeman lived in! Did you just luck out or was it kinda premeditated? Well I doubt you can premeditate good luck like that. So you never had to worry about your kids growing up in a safe environment. Of course when my "kid" (55) was a kid there were no such worries at all. And in the ancient times when I was a kid even fewer. The world is so much more dangerous now. Sadly. Thank you for your reply E! :)

We didn't know he was a cop until we toured the home. We opened a bedroom closet and a couple of his uniform shirts were in it.

Then it is an example of serendipity to be sure. An expected good thing happening. For a change! Thank you for your reply E! :)

I have only lived in a few different Canadian cities but I like general kind of 'live and let live'   attitude of the people in Vancouver.

Canadians are VERY cool in my opinion Kg. At least insofar as the Canadians I have met on the internet! If there are any other kind they are unknown to me! Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to thee and thine! :)

You do? Alone or with others? Is that what makes it unique then? You are trapped inside an internet social site program? I saw a movie once long ago in which a human was trapped inside of a game machine. How is life there? Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday forever after thereafter in your hereafter! :) This post was edited by RosieG at June 30, 2021 7:53 AM MDT

Trapped inside of a game machine is a good way to describe it.

Are you content? The word "trapped" connotes negative things to me. On the other hand if all your needs are met then perhaps it doesn't matter. I guess we are all trapped in way. Being whom we are. What choice do we have being anything else other than that? So if we can be content even with those restrictions/limitations what does it matter? Thank you for your reply BB and Happy July ! Thursday to thee! :)
