Do you know how to write in cursive style?

I learned to write in cursive style as an 8-year-old in school.

According to Wikipedia "Cursive has been in decline throughout the 21st century due to its perceived lack of necessity."  Some years ago, a teacher's union called cursive a "dying art."  Other consider cursive too tedious to learn and question its usefulness because of the widespread usage of computers and the teaching of "keyboard proficiency" instead of cursive.

  • I also learned to write in cursive style 60 years ago.  It was difficult to learn, and I'm always slow in writing cursive.

Me, too. My wife's cursive is beautiful...she writes checks for me and addresses envelopes.

Yes.  Back in the Pleistocene Age, we learned to write in cursive style.  I still use it, but my handwriting has gotten a bit sloppy since most everything I do is typewritten these days.

Yes. I learned it at a very young age, it was the norm as I was growing up, and I was often complimented by others for how legible they found my handwriting. My mother’s cursive writing is practically unreadable, and has been that way since I first tried to decipher it.

I always made my mom print because I could never read her handwriting.

I’ve never actively made my mother do anything, nor have I tried!

Yes.  I was taught that in third grade.  However, just like then, no one can read my handwriting (not even me).

  • I have very poor penmanship.  I, too, sometimes have difficulty in reading my handwriting.

Yes. But normally I print unless signing my name.  It is easier.for people to read it.
