I'm not concerned for myself as I live in NYC, but I am especially concerned for the Miami area where the building collapsed. The news last night indicated that they are going to demolish the other side of that building due to its instability. Good idea since a hurricane would probably do it in anyway. At least the people will have a chance to evacuate with some of their things before it comes down. I feel really bad for them.
I think demolition prior to a hurricane is insanity. Every little piece of anything becomes a projectile in those high winds. 65 mph wind will not take the building down but it will make a battlefield with the present rubble as well as any new rubble created.
