Losing a child of any age is tragic. But losing a child who never gets the chance to discover who he/she is? Experience love and marriage and what it's like to be a parent? Our David was almost 60. Jim's best friend Alan lost his daughter to COVID. She was in her 30's and weighed about 300 lbs. At least they got to live part of life. Marry, have children. But it is never easy. Each year on May 5 we call Yolanda, David's wife, our darling daughter-in-law. We cry together. He was her everything and she was his. Second marriage for both of them and each found their soulmate. They had a little over 20 years together which is better than nothing but they looked forward to getting old together. But we are not unique. It's just something some of us are fated to experience. Why that is I have no idea. Thank you for your reply L! :)
