Do you use an outdoor grill?

If so, DO NOT USE A WIRE BRUSH TO CLEAN IT.

A friend of my sister used one, and a wire bristle got into her food and went into her tongue. The surgery to remove it took over six hours.

I'd say that's more of a freak accident, than a reason not to use wire brushes to clean grills.
Millions of people use wire brushes to clean grills every year, and this is the first time I've heard of such an incident.

I had an uncle who once tried to use EasyOff Oven Cleaner to clean a grill.
By spraying it on the grill after cooking ... while the coals were still hot.
I would not recommend that particular method of cleaning.

I also saw it on one of the medical reality shows. Easy-Off is Sodium Hydroxide (lye), It is highly caustic and should only be used if the grill is rinsed thoroughly.

No.  In an apartment building situation, no outdoor cooking is permitted.

Be a little adventurous, would you? Lean out the window as far as you can with a skillet in one hand and a spatula in the other! Have your downstairs neighbor aim a blowtorch or flamethrower upwards at it. Sheesh, do I have to think of everything?

I don't even know who my downstairs neighbors are!

When they flame-on, it won’t matter.

For 30 years I have ensured that the grate for my outdoor grill would fit on the top rack of my dishwasher.  Outdoor grilling enjoyment is enhanced by adhering to this simple rule.

The rocket stove has been around in one form or another since prehistoric times, and are still used by many to this day.
