1 - Check litter boxes; clean if necessary. 2 - Complete door/window check 3 - check all appliances 4 - Make sure lower left blind on front window is down at least 14 inches (stupid neighbors!!) 5 - Turn on lantern by bed and turn off all lights 6 - Hand the house over to the guard cat (who will then do an entire perimeter check and report back) 7 - get into bed 8 - Remove cat from bed and brush cat hair off pillow and bed 9 - Lay down in bed -- It's at this point the "music" of the "potty song" fills the house (2 verses) (sigh) 10 - get back up and reclean the litter box(es) (any "mises" will be dealt with in the morning) 11 - remove cat from bed 12 - brush cat hair off pillow and bed 13 - fluff out the blanket 14 - Tell the guard cat to stop eating his brothers food 15 - remove cat from blanket 16 - brush cat hair off blanket 17 - Lay down in bed 18 - Try to turn off the lantern only to find the light's actually coming from the morning sun. (sigh) Who needs sleep anyway? (and there goes the "potty song")
I do the hygiene stuff a few hours before I think I'll be going to bed. When I get sleepy it hits me like a brick and I walk to the bed and lie down and am asleep in seconds.
Around eight or so, I suppose. I clean up my room and get my bed ready first, put on the clothes or pajamas I want to wear to bed, I use the bathroom and brush my teeth, then I usually read for a bit, and finally get in bed, hook my phone up to the charger, and shut off the lights.
