    Obamacare won't work if more young healthy people don't sign up. The government can't even fix the problems of the VA, and this is so much bigger.

    @njm -- The government could fix the problems of the VA fairly easily. All it would require is...

    1) Stop sending American service personnel into pointless military conflicts.

    2) Adequately fund the VA

    3) Provide effective oversight of the VA

    Our ruling class won't do this because pointless wars are a wonderful distraction and great source of profits, adequate funding requires higher taxes, and adequate oversight requires admitting government can accomplish positive social goals if it actually TRIES to do so.

    So we have the status quo.
