Apparently! It just surprised me. I think of "old" as in the middle east or Africa or Europe or Asia. But north america? Thank you for your reply E and Happy Friday to thee and thine! :)
So much has happened to the Earth over its life so far that finding really ancient fossils is very much a matter of good fortune.
Remember though that the land-masses we call Canada, the Middle East, Europe, etc., and the intervening oceans, were not as they are now, thanks to continental drifts, collisions and rifting apart.
