Everyone looked so good during that time, before botox.
(existance existence)
It appears you’re referring more to women’s faces and the makeup/procedures used for so-called beauty and enhancement of beauty rather than clothing, shoes, accessories, etc.
I am an opponent of anything that either detracts from, hides, or obliterates natural beauty, which includes the vast majority of makeup and procedures that are used by a high percentage of women these days (“these days” loosely defined as in the past decade or two). To focus on the 1980s as a comparison to 1990-2021, little by little over the past century and a half, a multitude of things the cosmetics industry does has slowly creeped up to create Frankensteinian looks in women. The entertainment industry, the advertising industry, the self-help industry, the plastic surgery industry and other global conglomerates are equal accomplices in many ways for their parts in contributing to the fallacies that dictate how women “should” look in order to”fit in”. The 1980s featured less of what we see today, but much more than what was seen in the 1940s or the 1960s. Incrementally, it gets continually worse.
Botox is merely one of the dozens of ravishes that aptly describe what I’m ranting about here, it is certainly not alone.
