I feel the opposite, I liked when they kept asking even when I was way past the legal age lol.

    When I was 16 I looked like I was 12 and when I was 21 I looked 16, It was no fun then but it's a blessing now that I'm a little older. :)

I get that, I didn’t like looking young when I was young but now that I’m older I want to stay young forever Lol.  I remember seeing a picture of you when everyone was posting their real pics just before ask shut down. I thought you looked just like Michelle Phifer (sp?) so pretty :)

Back in the 1990s they were very lax about ID, so I think I may have been asked only a couple of times when I was 19 or 20. Possibly once in my early or middle 20s.

Yeah, I remember being able to get into bars underage and buy cigarettes at the age of fifteen. Things were slack back in the good old days :)

That‘s young to stop asking, IMO.

Probably around thirty. I always looked much younger than my real age.

A month before I turned 18 they lowered the drinking age from 21 to 18 and I thought I was the luckiest boy in the World. Cheers and happy weekend!

It is and was 18 in Quebec but I moved province before my 18th birthday so I missed out on that  :/ Now I’m in Ontario and it’s always been 19 here for as long as I can remember anyway.

I drink very little and always have.  But I went to lunch with a friend and we had Irish Coffee for dessert.  I was eight years older than my friend and I was the only one asked for an ID.  Of course he thought that was very cool.  I was around 42 at the time.

Yummy Irish coffee, that makes me crave winter. Getting ID’d in your forties is most definitely a complement IMO.

I actually was carded more in my late 20s than I did when younger even underage never carded. Carding stopped completely early 30s.  (Legal age is 21 here)

I think they do not want to miss a sale so just card those they know are old enough.

I used to work in a convience store (did not sell alcohol but we did sell cigarettes)  If a customer was a pain,  we would card them regardless of their appearance. And refuse if they did not have it on them.

Same with the underage, was never carded 16-20 for anything but then after about twenty have been carded up until about 6 months ago. Maybe I’m just a pain now and not look old lol. I’m going with that ;)

I don't dye my hair and it's getting a lot of silver in it! I picked up some beer for my son (he's over 30) a few weeks ago at the grocery store and the clerk carded me and I started laughing out loud and said "SERIOUSLY??". I think he was trying to make me feel good or something. Hilarious!

Yeah, right. I think they must card anyone who looks under 65 now! ;)

  • I'm 29 and I still get carded. I have a youthful appearance. :)

Yes you do lol. I think of you as one of the “kids” here because of your PFP, not the way your answer questions :) If age was determined by content  here I’d probably be at 13 year old girl level lol. I’d put you at a solid 35 for your content.

I haven't been in a liquor store in years, but the last time I remember they had a policy that everyone under 40 would get carded. I was 46 and I was happy to show ID when they asked.
