    Sober doesn't only relate to being intoxicated or not pearl. It also means "quiet or sedate in demeanor". "Marked by seriousness, gravity, solemnity". Many people limit the word to use of liquor. It is not only that. It is much more than that. Thank you for your reply.

     My default mode is serious. I am mostly that.  So much so that I often don't realize when someone is teasing me or joking. It can get quite embarrassing. But I do have my moments when I'm the exact opposite. It comes and goes. I've never been more serious in my life than I have been during this gawd-awful 2016 American presidential election. Never. I hope I never have to be so much again. I'm not cut out for it. It's  way too much to take in and remain balanced/calm/optimistic. Thank you for your reply robbie and Happy Sunday to you! :)
