Believing in and worshipping a God - or not doing so - is the ultimate self-fulfilling prophecy. Believers tell themselves that it's good and worthwhile, so it is for them. It's just the opposite for non-believers, so it's not for them. However, there's no objective reality that holds true for everyone.

Wheather a God exists or not I try to be a decent and respectful person; what more should a God want?

But we do that (or should do that) simply because it's the right thing, not because of God or religion.

Yes, true. Compassion, respect and responsibility can come naturally.

Evolution expects nothing of you. You breed because you have unprotected sex most likely for your own pleasures.

I try to make it for mutual pleasure when I am with someone;  protected sex has probably saved me from STDS.

How do you know what motivates other people, especially those you don't know?
