Patient is prescribed a pill to be taken anally but misunderstands and takes them orally then complains to doc "these pills are useless"...

What do you think the doctor should tell him?

A guy claims to have heard this from his pharmacist.  A woman came into the drug store after having a prescription filled for suppositories.  She told the doctor that they were very uncomfortable when inserted.  The doctor suggested that she put them in the freezer and let them get hard.  That way they would perhaps be less uncomfortable and it would make removing the foil covering from it easier.  She looked at him in horror and asked, Was I supposed to remove the foil?

Unfortunately, I would believe something like that really happened.

The doctor should put on rubber gloves and show the patient how to properly administer the drug.
