Discussion»Questions»Food and Drink» For your snack treats, which do you prefer- salty like chips, cheesies, sardines, etc., or sweet treats like cake, pie, doughnuts or kisses?
What’s the difference between a snack and a treat? I’ve never heard of a snack treat, so it must be a Canadianism. It’s like saying “automobile car” or vehicular vehicle” or “courteous Canadian”. It’s all so redundant.
A snack may not need always be a treat if some health nut is trying to feed people something like broccoli, brussel sprouts or garlic ice cream for a treat.
A "snack" is sustenance taken in-between meals; typically comprised either of a salty (savory), or sweet, item. A "treat" is the same, yet normally obtained as reward, not necessarily from someone else, and also not necessarily due to any merit. Both types most probably have the effect of shortening one's life!
Ice Cream (cool whip with coconut flavor or fresh fruit is the replacement for now). Ugggg Potato Chips (walnuts and pecans are the replacement, in moderation) Cheese Cake-(Coconut Greek Yogurt is the replacement. It tastes close to cheesecake, to me). Cake, (Keto cake is a replacement) I love most nuts, honey roasted or natural. Love cookies but Keto cookies are the replacement. However they are so good I hesitate to buy them. A very small portion of pie sounds good. Eating a whole piece is too much. I love homemade deserts from India. I used to work with a fella from India. His wife used to make the most awesome desert and chicken, he would share. Wish I had asked for the recipe.
