    Being British my preference would be for misspelt, but I don't see misspelled as being wrong.

      (Comma after the word “British”.  It is the last word of the clause, and a new clause begins with the word “my”, so the two clauses must be separated by a comma.)

      Well, that’s not entirely accurate. I don’t even have hiring and firing authority, and all I did was to inform him that he wasn’t eligible to answer the test question due to being a sworn officer.
