What is the absolute WORST thing that’s ever happened to you as an in-person* spectator of a sporting event?

*As opposed to being a spectator watching it on television, for instance.

    I have been to exactly two in-person sporting events - a Mets game at Shea Stadium and a Yankees game at Yankee Stadium.  Neither of them was anything but boring to me.

    I was watching some kids playing hockey on our outdoor skating rink one evening when a couple of raccoons came along and snitched my sammiches.

    A fight broke out between nearby spectators at a Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers game in Dallas, a lifetime ago. I loved the old fabulous Cowboys.

    I wasn't really a spectator, but was walking past some beach vollyball tournament games and got hit by a ball, when it was hit out-of-bounds.

    The young ladies were apologetic.
    But not enough for me to get a date out of it.
