If the DOJ is dirty then who prosecutes that?

The classic question of who polices the police?  A senior DOJ official has assured democrats in congress that the hillary investigation will be done as quickly as possible.  That official is also friends and was a lawyer for the hillary campaign chair john podesta. John Podesta say that this official kept him out of jail. So if the DOJ is in the pocket of the hillary campaign and will cover up for that reason then who prosecutes that?

That is the duty of the citizen. But the government takes it as an attack on their authority. Government types will watch the whole world burn before they give up authority.

I love how it is assumed that because of this then that happens.

Why is he in the pocket?   What did he do to earn that special title?   What did he do that would put him in jail?  What insipid charges were aimed at him in the first place?  No one is mentioning that.  Just that he was kept out of jail.  Maybe he was being unfairly accused?

Like NOW?  Maybe he knows how to deal with creeps?  Maybe he knows what the Republicans are LIKE?

I do not think you are understanding. Whether John Podesta should be in jail or not is rather irrelevant and the point is that his friend Peter Kadsik at the DOJ is visibly involved in this investigation.

What would you think if the head of the trump campaign had his friend at the DOJ leading an investigation into trump? What if that friend at the DOJ had in the past tipped off the head of the trump campaign to developments investigations relating to trump? Of course such investigation would be compromised and untrustworthy.  An agency that would allow such to happen is dirty.

I think you are thoroughly confused about the whole Hillary email investigation. The fist investigation is closed.

    1. The first investigation was investigated, reported on, scrutinized by a congressional committee, and a decision made that Hillary made a mistake but did not commit any crimes.
    2. The director of the FBI reported he had found more emails connected with Hillary, so this is something different. The investigation is not about Hillary. It is an ongoing investigation on Anthony Weiner. They are in estimating his emails.
    3. Then they found emails his wife had sent to that server. However, the FBI should not release any information until the investigation is over.
    4. The FBI director should work with the Department of Justice. The FBI is a branch of the Department of Justice. They do have jurisdiction over the FBI.

The first investigation actually concluded that they could not prove hillary and others intended to violate laws. Of course they did violate laws. To send classified information over a private server is a violating of the law but they felt that without proof of intent that would not be something that could be prosecuted. They could also not prove at the time that deleted emails were deleted by order of hillary to cover up whatever was in them.

The investigation is about hillary. They did not get the warrant to further investigate Weiner because they already had access to wieners emails that were relevant to weiner and sex emails and minors. They got a warrant to bring hillary emails into evidence.

For your last point I ask if the FBI should work with the DOJ when it is known that the senior DOJ official most visibly involved is a long time friend of the hillary campaign chair. In fact this official has in the past given a "heads up" email to the campaign chair with information about the ongoing state department email investigation. If trump were investigated would you trust a friend of the trump campaign manager to be impartial?
