Because there are few better ways.

No ... but I sometimes play Flight of the Valkyries when I am leaving work, if it has been a stressful day.

    H
e has an unbelievable voice - worth a listen to this one.  Yes it is his real voice, he also sings opera in the past.  Hard to find videos I watched a few years ago.

    Should have stuck with opera.

How about this? This kid was NINE at the time. Untrained.

As an operatically-trained singer myself, I could pick the flaws. Breathing all over the place with no support for the lower notes. Muddy diction (helped that she was singing phonetically, the Dutch accent is harsh and still comes through when she sings in English, although it's considerably better than it was). Stilted phrasing.
She made all of that completely irrelevant due to the angelic voice, when I first heard her I became an Amira fan in nothing flat. I've also heard her more recent stuff, a little coaching has given her the breath control to support the contralto register without losing the clarity of the coloratura top. Her phrasing is smoother and the diction clearer, particularly when she's singing in a language she can't speak, eg Italian, or is close to her native  Dutch, eg German. The accent still comes through a little in English, although she can now manage the theta which is absent in Dutch. She's also managed to retain the guileless purity of the voice, thankfully they haven't burnt her out.
She's also a philanthropist, her Stichte Gelükskinders (Lucky Children's Foundation) was entirely her own idea, and seventeen-year-old Amira is still as committed to it as her ten-year-old self was when she set it up - building playgrounds for underprivileged children (mostly black) in South Africa, where her mother was born and where Amira, her mother and her brother Vincent now reside following her parents' divorce. I wonder if that was part of the act. Russians love violence, don't they?

Haha as a fellow Slav, I both confess and take exception. Turns out they were actually trying to avoid a crackdown - afraid of dancing too much to this American music. And so Joel got pissed off at the crew lighting up the audience, who would immediately stop and stand still.

In a quasi-sort-of way, yeah.  These  two songs helped me process my myriad of emotions, including anger, during a challenging period of time for me with someone

"I Don't Care Anymore"                   my favorite song from (solo) Phil Collins

"Apologize"    (as in, as the song states, "it's too late to apologize")

the first song I heard from One Republic; have liked them ever since; I'll post the version I first heard - -the one with Timbaland - - but since being a One Republic fan, and though I like Timbaland's input, I now prefer the original version without him

EDIT: Never mind- - Timbaland site seems not to want me to post that one - - I'll go with the original version, the one I now prefer

    Thanks.  :)

Sometimes. The Beach Boys, Vanilla Ice and Kid Rock infuriated me by rank plagiarism.

I'm hoping you may have included Kid Rock because of his butchering of Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London."
