Liability for what, known and fully disclosed side effects?

Any side effects. If your product harms people shouldn't you be required to take responsibility for that harm?

The pharmacy company should NEVER be shielded from liability; people should NEVER lose the ability to sue a company for a product that harms them.  NEVER.

You cannot contract away the duty of care that, when breached, defines and results in negligence.

I agree but they are shielded and have been for decades. This is why they are pushing covid jab for kids. If it gets on childhood vaccine schedule they have no liabilty for their damage caused.

'Sovereign immunity' protects the government against lawsuits.
However the Federal Tort Claims Act allows certain claims to pass.
So suing the government is possible.

I think if it is your product...you should have to stand behind it.

Sure, but then it could take years and greater expense of testing to ensure the product is about 98% safe.
    What are ya gonna do?

I've taken the vaccine and booster, so far so good for myself and everyone I know who did.
No apparent harm done and maybe it's a life saver.

Well good for me eh. This post was edited by Kittigate at December 26, 2021 4:35 PM MST

I sincerely hope it remains good for you.

I lost a close family member a few days after their 2nd shot.  I know a man who survived the disease and got both shot 1 and 2.  Both times it put him in the hospital. He said he will not be getting any boosters. His wife got both no problems. (so far)

Why should they not have to be responsible for their product?   (In US, it is not just covid shots that do not have liability. It is all vaccines that are gov recommended)
