What are some of your favorite songs that include the names Randy, Randall, or Randolph either in their titles or in their lyrics?

Not the artists’ names nor anyone else associated with the song(s), though.

Interesting backstory:  The lyrics are a bit naughty, but the French duo had no problem getting it past the radio censors. Xavier de Rosnay told Fact Magazine they had been initially unaware of any potential problem. "It all depends on the meaning you attribute to the word 'randy'. To us it's strictly a name. It's a name that is gender neutral.," he said. "We found out weeks later that it meant something else."

I've never heard that one. It's too bad Randy D's device won't play country music or so he claims.

    His loss. :)

EDIT:  Unless you're into major twang, I don't suggest you play it. This post was edited by SpunkySenior at January 3, 2022 3:02 AM MST

“Major Twang”? That sounds like either a veteran country music star or the commanding officer of a military detachment somewhere in the south.

Dolly Parton is one of the old-time country music singers like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, et al.  The ones who go on about how their hound dog left took off with their best friend without saying "goodbye," had the nasal sound, and so on.  I prefer the newer country music from singers like Kenny Chesney,

My mother always used to call it “singing through their noses”. She couldn’t stand it, lol.

Exactly.  I'm finding that as I've gotten older, there are certain manners of speech that I find irritating enough to never want to hear them.  Of course, there isn't much I can do about it in the real world with people I work with, but when it comes to TV shows, there are some that I won't watch because I can't stand the voice of one of the actors.  I find it happens more often with women.  A perfect example is Jorja Fox of CSI Vegas (formerly, CSI).  She has this sing-song way of speaking which I find most irritating.  Women with shrill, high-pitched voices are just as bad.

One of those mannerisms is the rise in inflection of the last word of every single sentence, making each one sound like a question even when it’s not? Or putting the word “right” at the end of every sentence, right?

      I commiserate with you.
