Which would you prefer; cost of fuel reduced by 50% or technology developed to reduce fuel consumption by 50%?

To determine its feasibility as an export product. Fortescue's solar electrolysis plant hasn't been completed yet. Four more are in the planning stage, and Ausnet in Victoria are seeking approval to replace the domestic natural gas supply with hydrogen as the other is already becoming too expensive. Won't be soon, the appliances aren't designed for it, but when the time comes, it will be similar to when coal oil gas was replaced with petroleum gas.

So as I said currently the  technology  is not able to replace fossil fuels.
