What's deadly, toxic, noisy and overpriced?

.
An e-mail I received from a progressive political lobbying organization says that describes the F-35 fighter jet under development.

I think is also describes both major party presidential candidates...;-D...

What's deadly, toxic, noisy and overpriced in your world?

I suspect residents of some other urban locales (Detroit, Richmond, CA, various cities in New Jersey, etc.) would echo that sentiment...;-D...

  • ROTFLMMFAO!   I actually spent a week in Canoga Park LA about 10 years ago.

At least neither of us had to live in Camden NJ.  if you never been there it's the USA's own little 3rd world.

If I'm not mistaken, the F-35 has had way too many bugs that have not yet been worked out and some military higher-ups have stated that not only is it not worth the cost, but it isn't needed at all.  Naturally, the military will buy them anyway because if they don't spend every single cent in their budget, their budget gets reduced.  Heaven forbid the taxpayer should find some financial relief.

@SS -- Of course the F-35 is needed. The $1.35 TRILLION which will be spent on it would otherwise go to other people, and the people due to receive their cut of that $1.35 Trillion can't have that...;-D...

Right - we absolutely cannot have others using that money for frivolous things like fixing our infrastructure, cleaning up  our rivers and providing toxic-free water to Americans.  What the he!! was I thinking?  I travel some highways that potholes that are worse than the ones in the Middle East.

  •  Fortunately none in my area.

    But thinking further afield:
    Almost all armed forces hardware.
Factories producing rubber, pesticides, and herbicides.
    Highways, airports, and seaports.
Ships and trucks bearing chemicals, uranium, and spent fuel rods.
    Metal ore mining and smelting.
    Oil rigs.

    Volcanic eruptions.
