Well, the Feast of St. Valentine dates back to AD 406.  The Hallmark family, which still privately owns the company, did not start making and selling cards until 1910.  A day celebrated as St. Valentine Day became associated with romantic love in the 5th century.  I just read all of this on Wiki which, as you may remember, I do not consider authoritative or even dependable.

HVD to you and your love.

I actually saw that on the news, but we don't celebrate much of anything anymore. I always thought it was a stupid holiday.

Don't even start with a sweetie okay? Sweetie/strangle. Besides, that gas thing doesn't make things any better. Every bidge has a car. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at February 12, 2022 2:03 PM MST

I can't even get a new doctor without them  telling me I'm anxious. And for good reason. All I'm saying is, I see the inevitable and that humanity can't even try throwIng it's brakes on fast enough to avoid climate catastrophe. Call me negative or call me a sage. We need elevated up off the road electric trams period. Can't you just see a streamlined electric tram system. We are deluding ourselves to make a bunch of mini-mes. That gas can feeds the idea thus advocates it. Sorry for the name calling but you know my rebellious and defiant dedication to defeat lying humans. And for getting to the hospital fast enough: Electric flying cars.

LOL... your question reminds me of a joke from the TV show Good Times.  In this particular episode, the Evans family is celebrating some big event when James presents a bottle of champagne to which Florida exclaims, "James!  Should we be drinking champagne?", and, as a response, James observes, "Why not?  It's cheaper than gas!"  Ah... the 2020s 1970s!

Honestly, I don't know him well enough, as far as his likes and dislikes. The gifts I already bought him...he has not shown interest in picking these up....a real balloon poper.
