Juries let folks get away with it all the time. Easy peasy. A slam dunk! A sure thing ! A no-brainer. Humans are incredibly imperfect and partisan and prejudiced. Too bad we only have humans to serve on juries.
I got off jury duty after the jury selection judge determined that I had been the victim of crime(s). I can't believe I was the only one in that jury pool that had been a victim. Anyway, the jury in that case found the accused guilty. Those video cameras are fairly honest.
God is so much a part of you that He knows the number of breaths you will take in this lifetime as well as all the lifetimes you may live. DO you think he doesn't know every intent you intend?

i dont think god would let anyone get away with that
God would buy it if it were true - and sometimes it is true.
I'm curious Rosie: have you ever been in a situation where your life/well-being were imperiled by the actions/threatenings of another?
If not, may I suggest you take a less cynical tone when discussing what you personally know nothing about? I've been in threatening situations - involving assailants - with a split second to decide what to do.
It's not an easy position to be in, which is why juries tend to be sympathetic to those who've taken drastic measures in the interest of self-preservation.
I think it would be more productive if it there were more emphasis made - when instructing aspiring violent criminals - that even seemingly helpless humans can be quite dangerous when the "flight or fight" instinct is triggered.
So unless we want to empower/embolden those who bully, assault and murder then we should hope such morons suddenly realize that it's dangerous to frighten and intimidate others. The smarter of them will figure it out; screw the rest.
Wow, Sharrona, we finally agree on something!!
Everyone sins RosieG.. Some will be forgiven some will not.. One may or may not escape the consequences of their action in this world irrespective of their believing God or not.. But once we pass into eternity Gods decision on the matter is what matters.
The judicial system is scary for sure, very imperfect, there're actually innocent people that get convicted too, it works both ways. I personally don't want to experience it myself.
