If you are considering moving into apartment building, which floor(s) do you think would would be safest to live on for safety and security?

    I'd say it depends on what aspect of safety you're most concerned about. 

    If you're concerned about danger from humans or floods, a higher floor would help to feel more secure. If you're more concerned about danger of fire or tornado, a lower floor should help.

    I agree because the burglars usually start at the top floors and work down so by the time they arrive at the lower areas they will have all the tildes they can pack and be on their way out.

    Second floor is best for me.  I use the stairs, want to be able to jump from a window if necessary, can't sleep thinking someone could walk up to my window, and don't want to be flooded. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at April 3, 2022 12:20 AM MDT
