Yes, I  have a Samsung Galaxy smart watch and I find it to be extremely useful.

Yes, I own a Fitbit.  But since Fitbit refuses to do business with Windows, it's now a $200 piece of junk.

My phone has a pedometer app. It's quite useful as seeing the numbers motivates me to go for a long walk every day.

For the past several weeks, I have been participating in a medical study that has me wearing a Fitbit, and they have monitoring devices attached to the televisions in my house to see how many hours a day I am inactive and watching television. My active hours and sleep habits are also being monitored. They are paying me an extremely modest stipend to be in this study and to provide the feedback from a combination of those devices and the Fitbit, and if I complete the entire 30-week program, I get to keep the Fitbit, which is worth approximately $120 to $150.

Does it administer a shock when you misspell a word?

If I were to be in that study, they would conclude the following:  The Fitbit doesn't work or the participant is dead.

Call 911! Very little movement at all! No signals whatsoever are coming in from the devices assigned to Subject Spunky!

Better yet, just send in that new guy. What’s his name again? Randy D or something like that. He’ll take care of everything.

That's what it would take to get me to exercise - someone comes in and moves me around. :)  I can't tell you how many times I have joined a gym only to give up after 2-3 months.

Lol! They say that that’s how many gyms garner profits: by people who pay ahead of time yet use it very little or not at all.
(Wait, maybe I can convert a section of the sub-basement into some kind of lucrative money-grab like that!)

P.S. Even though I would be perfectly willing, you probably don’t want randy ol’ Randy D getting all handsy with you in vulnerable positions like that one. But if you change your mind, just let me know and I can add a stop to my itinerary the next time I head toward Minneapolis. (Cough, cough.)

In the unlikely event I change my mind, I'll be sure to let you know.  Thanks for the offer, though. :)
